How To Colectic

Welcome to Colectic. We're a network of vintage resellers who love sharing our stories and vintage items with you all. We're also a marketplace that handles online sales for resellers. Here's how it works:

• You upload 4+ pictures and your lowest acceptable price for an item you want to sell.
• Our custom-built software polishes the photos to give them a professional look, researches and appropriately prices the item, writes a listing, and crosslists it to not only the Colectic website but across 8 marketplaces.
• Colectic will handle everything from there, including promoting the items online, answering buyer questions, negotiating with buyers, and creating shipping labels
• When the item sells, we send you the shipping label and you ship.
• Once the item has started tracking, you can request your money through a payout minus any marketplace fees that may apply.

Once you've joined Colectic and have your login, upload your items following the instructions below:

• Click on the account button in the top right of every colecticshop.com page and login using the magic link sent to your registered email.
• Click "create listings" to find the upload form. Upload at least 4 photos of the item, item's category, condition, weight, and lowest price you would accept for the item. All other fields are optional if you have additional information, such as measurements or information on the item's background. Submit your item. 

Did you know that including measurements in your Colectic submission will automatically double check the fit against modern sizes? That means your vintage top that claims to be a large will be correctly sized as the small that it is (or whatever size it may be now). That also means no more worries about customer returns for fit. 

• Please wait a minute for the software - it's still a little slow as we grow and make adjustments. Double check the description it writes. If needed, you can make additions or corrections - we don't expect or see this happen very often. Approve the description. 
• That's it! Your item will appear first on Colectic after a few minutes. If you don't see it under new arrivals and your store's collection after five minutes, you can email us at support@colecticshop.com

• Items are double checked by our team every night for accuracy and quality. Once confirmed, we push the items out to be crosslisted to the 7 other marketplaces Colectic sells on, including Poshmark, Depop, eBay, Mercari, Curtsy, Grailed, and Etsy. 
• Follow your sales progress using the Seller Dashboard, which can be found in your customer account. This is where you'll be able to see sales details and request payouts. 

Colectic was made by and for resellers to cut down on the effort needed to sell vintage clothing online. Our goal is that you can source an item and have it listed online before you're even home with the item. The key lies in our software that not only writes the listing but improves photographs by replacing the background with a white studio background and creating a realistic flat lay for the main product photo. No more fussing about lighting or cleaning your space before photos - snap a picture anywhere and we'll handle the rest.
